The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved the Ramazan Support Package to provide financial relief to more than one million families during the holy month.
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information, Shafi Jan, said the package is worth Rs12 billion. Under this initiative, each deserving family will receive Rs12,500 through a direct digital transfer. The goal is to ensure funds are delivered transparently and on time.
He explained that priority will be given to the most vulnerable groups in society. This includes low-income families, widows, orphans, individuals with disabilities, transgender persons, and people affected by natural disasters.
Shafi Jan said the package reflects the provincial government’s commitment to supporting underprivileged citizens during Ramazan and helping them manage rising financial pressures. He further stated that payments will be made through a transparent digital system to make sure assistance reaches genuine beneficiaries without delay.
