The Chinese Aerospace Development Industry Investment Group is considering investing up to $10 billion in Pakistan. The investment could cover mining, advanced technology, industrial projects, and skill development initiatives.
A high-level delegation, led by Party Secretary and Chairman Lu Jinhai, met Board of Investment Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh on Thursday. The group expressed a long-term vision to support Pakistan’s economic growth and technological progress. The delegation also showed interest in collaborating under the One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative to strengthen regional connectivity and economic cooperation.
Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh highlighted Pakistan’s strategic location, linking South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East, and noted its large market of over 240 million people and young workforce. He also mentioned the incentives Pakistan offers to investors.
The Chinese group briefed the minister about its global operations. They said the firm is an international investment company with an AAA credit rating, involved in advanced technology, aerospace, AI, electric vehicles, drones, and energy projects.
