Chief Minister Mohammad Sohail Afridi has ordered the immediate distribution of solar systems to poor households under the Provincial Households Solarisation Initiative. He gave the directives while reviewing the project\u2019s progress at the Chief Minister\u2019s House. Afridi stressed that all necessary steps should be completed without delay.<\/p>\n
The CM said the initiative aims to provide relief to deserving households. He highlighted that the government is investing heavily to improve public services and ensure that benefits reach the deserving people in a timely manner. He also called for avoiding unnecessary delays in processing welfare projects.<\/p>\n
Under the initiative, 130,000 households across the province, including the merged districts, will receive solar units. Under the plan, 65,000 households will get solar systems free of cost, while another 65,000 households will be able to purchase them at half price through easy installments.<\/p>\n
Officials said the project\u2019s PC 1 has been prepared and will be presented for approval at the next Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) meeting. A separate solarisation plan for the merged districts, under the Accelerated Implementation Programme, will benefit 120,000 households. This project will be presented to the provincial cabinet for final approval as a non-Annual Development Programme Scheme.<\/p>\n
Priority will be given to widows, people with disabilities, displaced families, disaster-affected households, other vulnerable groups, and those in off-grid areas. Districts will get solar units based on their population.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
